JCI (Junior Chamber International) Toompea in co-operation with Estonian Union of Large Families


OBJECTIVE: Children of large families entering into 1st class will be supplied with a new school bag with necessary school supplies.

WHY: We try to find different ways of supporting large families. Under this charity program, we support children who start school in coming autumn.

WHO: This project is carried out by JCI Toompea. JCI (Junior Chamber International) is an international a membership-based nonprofit organization of 200 000 young active citizens in more than 100 countries around the world. We provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.

HOW: In co-operation with Estonian Union of Large Families was discovered, that 356 children of large famililes will enter into 1st class in coming autumn. Additionally, we would like to help also children and families out of Estonian Union of Large Families - 1000 children in total. We have already 40 cash donation boxes, which are placed over the network of shops in Estonia in Dec.2012.

WHEN: Cash and school supplies collection will be held from Dec. 2012 till Aug.2013. The final ceremony will be held in August 18th, at Victoria Center in Tallinn, where we supply new school bags with supplies to the children. Ceremony will have activities for the whole family.
